Mar 26, 2018, 12:52 PM
Are you ready, Twin Cities? The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show is about to hit town and it is absolutely chock full of features, celebrities, exhibitors and of course, endless opportunities to get fired up about spring!

What’s new this year, you ask? Well, the answer is PLENTY. The biggest addition is the Family Zone, sponsored by American Family Insurance. Your kids will love the bike demos, Segway rides, DIY workshops and plenty more. Also, admission to the show for kids 12 and under is free opening weekend (March 30-April 1).

Also new is the Koehler & Dramm Floral Institute of Floristry Display and Workshops. You will be able to feast your eyes on incredible floral displays with 1,600 square feet of this year’s hottest flowers, colors and styles.

Idea Home

A perennial favorite – the Idea Home – will definitely be a crowd pleaser with this year’s theme of Timeless Contemporary. We can’t wait for you to see the modern all white design!

It wouldn’t be the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show without the beloved Feature Gardens presented by Star Tribune. This year will include seven of the most talented Minnesota landscapers showcasing their expertise with the theme of “Doorway to Spring.”

Garden

Sponsored by Prosource Wholesale and Kelli Kaufer Designs, the Main Stage will feature presentations about remodeling, interior design, landscaping and cooking. Local speakers and national celebrities will entertain and inform you, so make sure you stop by to hear what’s new. Celebrities include Paige Davis of TLC’s Trading Spaces, Sara Bendrick of DIY Network’s I Hate My Yard, and Jason Cameron of DIY Network’s Man Caves, Sledge Hammer, and Desperate Landscapes.

Of course, you can expect to see the return of the Tiny Home Village! Come check out this wildly popular alternative living option. The village consists of four homes created by Minnesota and Wisconsin builders, as well as virtual tours of many other tiny homes.

The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show is pretty darn huge, and we know combing all the aisles gets tiring, so please take a load off with our Backyard Lounge, sponsored by Plants & Things USA and Outdoor Innovations. Imagine beverages and the latest in outdoor furniture in a beautiful setting. Sounds great, right?

The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show takes over the Minneapolis Convention Center March 30-April 1 and April 6-8. Plan your visit now! Make sure to buy your tickets online to save $2. For even more savings, consider using Metro Transit to get to the Convention Center. All the info is here. See you at the show!
