Not to be Missed: Tiny Home Village

Bigger is not always better and you can see the proof with your own eyes at this year’s Tiny Home Village at the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show.
A Tiny home is a dwelling that's approximately 400 square feet or less, and our Tiny Home Village has homes that run from 144 to 330 square feet. This sure-to-be-popular display will include five homes from builders across Minnesota and Wisconsin, and feature all kinds of cool perks, such as built-ins, solar panels and windows aplenty.
Our biggest Tiny Home is The Getaway, from Glenmark Construction in Brooklyn Park. It boosts not one but two lofts in this shed roof designed home that is 330 square feet.
Escape Traveler, from Sala Architects of Rice Lake, Wisconsin has tons of architectural delights, including a full-size kitchen and bath, soaring windows, and room to sleep six! Did I mention it’s also a certified RV? This beauty is 269 square feet.
The Cypress Vantage Home from St. Cloud Technical and Community College has a heated bathroom floor, recessed porch, a metal roof, and main floor bedroom. Total square footage is 229.
The Craftsman-styled Gifford tiny home is only 156 square feet. It’s from The Sanctuary Minnesota, a Tiny House Village and Event Center located in Central Minnesota on 80 acres of woods and trails. The Tiny House Village offers space to park your tiny house and tiny houses for rent while the Event Center sponsors retreats and events.
The smallest home at the Minneapolis Home + Garden Show at 144 square feet is the Tiny Solar House, from Minnesota Renewable Energy Society, along with major contributing partner, The Chuba Company. The house displays four types of solar technology and is built on a trailer.
Landscaping for the Tiny Home Village is provided by Arvold Landscaping & Design, Inc; interior design by lucy interior design, furnishings from CB2, and fencing by Midwest Fence.
The Minneapolis Home + Garden Show takes over the Minneapolis Convention Center for two weekends this year: February 26-28 + March 4-6!
